Here I am...

...in Kenora, ON. I'm on tour right now and thusly, err, not extremely computer able but I wanted to get on here and blog as soon as possible so I thought I'd say a couple of things and then post a little info about what's going on with my band. So, here we go...picture a show and tell scene, replete with cardboarded displays about the indigenous plant life of Egypt...

Hi, my name is Maya Miller. I'm in a band called The Pack A.D. I like coffee so much, I would marry it if I could. And, in point of fact, I believe I already have in my heart. I aim to blog about things I think about and rant about it in relation to being a musician...on tour...all the time. I have things to say or so my bandmate, Becky Black, tells me. I think that's where I'll leave it for now, as I am still not really awake and first impressions are everything.

So, here is an update about what my band is up to...I'll be back with an actual topic of some kind as soon as humanly possible. Thanks, Justin for having me here - good times.

Happy Summer, Canada,

We're on tour across Canada right now and we have some new dates and one show that's not happening - sorry, Ottawa, it just didn't come together this time. Dates are below. Come to the shows and tell your friends in other provinces to come - it's a good deal.

Here are some quick items of note:

We made a video for our song Blackout with and at CBC Radio 3. It premiered last week but you can watch it on youtube or our myspace page. Here's the youtube link...

We're happy to say that this tour is being sponsored by CBC Radio 3, Aux TV, SkullSkates clothing, and Exclaim.ca - here's a link where you can enter a contest to win a bunch of free Pack crap at Exclaim.ca...

For this illustrious Canadian tour, we're writing a tour blog and posting it consistently (well, every 4 or 5 days) on our page on CBC's New Music Canada website. Check it out and read it and you will know what we ate and where in Canada we ate it...oh and other stuff....reallly random stuff.

Awesome first impression Maya, nice post and I fully agree about coffee. Once they invented coffee and beer they really could have stopped - beverages had reached their pinnacle (though gin and rye are both nice additions).
