| David Yazbeck Producer and Host, Thursday Morning Special Blend on
CKCU - FM 93.1, Ottawa, Ontario The Special Blend series of shows
on CKCU are typical morning shows with a mix of news, information,
interviews and music. My show, which I have been doing for over 4
years, has a strong focus on the arts and a particular focus on music.
I stress local music events and promote local musicians as much as
possible. Often musicians are showcased on the show, where they are
welcomed into the studio for a chat and a live performance. The show
also has a regular contributor from the itcamefromcanada website,
who highlights obscure Canadian musicians. In addition to my work
on the Special Blend, I am a fanatic music lover, with a large collection
of vinyl and CDs, and a passion for live music whenever possible.
Ottawa is a true gem for live music - lots of great small but intimate
venues to see fantastic acts. |
