File Under: Music (@fileundermusic on twitter) is an independent music company based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We are paving the way to develop a presence as a true all encompassing “one stop shop” artist development house.

File Under: Music is an independent record label, film & television placement house, and whatever else we decide we want to be or need to be for our artists. We offer distribution for our releases (via Outside Music in Canada and NAIL Distribution in the USA), and support networks worldwide.

We’re focusing our energy on one simple goal: developing talented, hard working artists and ensuring they have everything they need to make a go of it in the global marketplace.

We don’t believe in limitations. No musical genre will be overlooked because good music will always endure and succeed at all levels. Don’t pigeonhole what you do… because we won’t. Just File it Under: Music.

Laura Smith is also a local musician, you can find her singing or rocking the keyboards all over Canada with bands, usually, from Vancouver.
