Jay Blackwood

An outdoor educator, wistful former/aspiring musician and grad of the Ryerson New Media program, Jay recently moved back to Ontario from B.C. Though currently living in Georgetown, he splits his extra-curriculars between London, Toronto, Burlington, Guelph and his hometown of Hamilton.

A voracious consumer of sound, Jay spent his teen years heading to live music in Hamilton, and his university years doing the same in Toronto, and decided to start a project for himself after returning to Upper Canada in September 2009… reignite a love for live music by seeing at least one live music event per week for a year (52+ concerts by September 2010).
