Jenny Potter

Fresh out of journalism school in Ottawa last spring, Jenny took a chance, moving to Northern Ontario in search of daily newspaper experience. After a year of chasing ambulances and writing about walkathons, she finally found that beyond the shad flies, there’s a bustling music scene in Northern Ontario. Based in North Bay, Jenny takes every opportunity to see live music, whether it be a church basement, a backyard music festival, open mic at the cafe, a quick trip to Ottawa or the waterfront band shell. Other than listening to music, Jenny spends her time knitting, baking cupcakes, reading food blogs, cutting up her clothes and sewing them up again, shooting and editing videos, playing paparazzi, biking and updating twitter (@potterjenny).
