Joelle May

A devoted music-lover, Joelle May uses her creative and friendly nature, extensive contact list and musical knowledge, combined with her organizational skills and attention to detail to facilitate the publicity needs of various bands and artists. She also does some light bookings, freelance writing, and tour managing. Based out of a ‘hippied up’ 1975 Dodge camper van somewhere between Calgary and Vancouver, Joelle covers all of Canada and will branch into whatever geographical market is desired by her clients, there are no unreachable markets as far as she is concerned. Joelle entices key people to want your story, portrays it the way you desire your audience to hear it.

Involving herself as much as possible, Joelle has built her repertoire though activities relating to the Junos, Western Canadian Music Awards, the Calgary Stampede, and MusicLivesHere.ca (Calgary Arts Development) in addition to individual work with various artists, bands, record labels and distributors. She is also a member of Alberta Music, CARAS, and is a board member, artist liaison and publicist for the Mountain View Music Festival, taking place annually in Carstairs, AB, on the second weekend in August.

In her spare time, Joelle works more, does anything outdoorsy and catches as many shows & festivals as possible – so come and say hello. You can also often catch Joelle volunteering at various music events in and around western Canada.
