John Hilborn

John Hilborn currently resides in a small community just outside of Brockville, Ontario, along the St. Lawrence River and hour away from Canada’s first capital city as well as our current national capital where he went to school for Communications at Ottawa U. Mr. Hilborn has always held a particular love for music and the creation of it, a joy cherished ever since listening to his Grandfather and Aunt play the guitar and banjo during the warm summers in Algonquin Park. After numerous years passed and the love and collecting of vinyl lp’s and cd’s became a fully fledged passion, he stumbled upon the CBC Radio 3 podcast whilst browsing iTunes. Since that first fateful download, he has never looked back and currently works at the local Starbucks in order to support his growing addiction to Canadian indie rock trough the purchase of records and tickets. In addition to trying help cultivate a small music scene Brockville with the help of his friends, his only hope is that his love for Independent Canadian music can transferred through his writing and make others excited as he is.
