Marc Xavier LeBlanc Marc Xavier LeBlanc (or better known as Bones) has always been a big supporter of the independent music scene in Canada for almost two decades now. First and foremost he has been hosting his own radio show for just over 18 years as a volunteer at CKUM 93.5fm radio station at the Université de Moncton where he's had musical guests perform and has interviewed personalities such as Julie Doiron(of Broken Girl and Eric's Trip), Stereolab, Sloan, Rick White(of Eric's Trip, HC5, The Unintended, Elevator) , Mathieu D'Astous, Ron Bates(of Orange Glass, The Memories Attack) Herménegilde Chiasson(Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick) and many others. He mixes his love of music and the arts while also promoting bands coming through his hometown of Moncton. He has promoted Canadian and East coast music as for away as Tokyo Japan where he compiled mixes for an event called Canadian Style. He's also been a guest host numerous times on Radio Canada and CBC Radio 3 in the past five years. He's also been a music promoter and has organized and promoted shows for Julie Doiron, The Brothers Creeggan (of the Barenaked Ladies fame), Rebekah Higgs, The Microphones(US), Mirah(US), In Flight Safety, Rose Cousins, Jill Barber, Wintersleep, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and many others. Most recently and in addition to his radio show he's hosted monthly events called "((Indie Pop Night))" in Moncton for the past 5 years and now has also expanded to host monthly events in Fredericton, Charlottetown(PEI) and every few months in Halifax(NS) and one offs in Sackville, Saint John, Medicine Hat(Alberta) where he promotes all kinds of music from around the world but which also have been highlighted with live appearances by bands such as The Hidden Cameras, Julie Doiron, Mike Evin, Rich Aucoin, Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees, The Peter Parkers, Test Tone Channel, Brent Randall and his Pinecones, Laura Peek & the Winning Hearts and many others. Another event he has started, hosts and dj's at would be the ((soirée franco-pop)) where he promotes new and danceable french music such as Jacobus et Maleco, Radio Radio, Mathieu D'Astous, pAn and many others which this event has been part of the Festival International du cinema francophone en Acadie(FICFA). His love, knowledge and passion for the music scene has been a big help to a lot of artists primarily in the east coast of Canada but also internationally and thanks to his dedication of promoting all things music, many musical artists have been able to advance and embellish their musical careers thanks to his hard work. Marc has also been nominated for "photographer of the year" for the last six consecutive years (2004 to 2009) and as well as been nominated for "media personality of the year" for the last two consecutive years (2008 & 2009) both at the East Coast Music Industry Awards.
