Nelson from Nelson

Nelson From Nelson: Born in England, raised in Southern Ontario, & moved to Vancouver in the spring of '92. A rabid music fan since discovering The Beatles "Revolver" at age 12, he saw amazing bands for 5 years in the "Grunge Era" (hate that term still) which solidified him as a "Soldier Of Rock N' Roll 'Til I Die".

In '93 AND '94 he was hit by a car (yes, twice) the second time leaving him with a broken neck & spine. 3 friends were going tree-planting all summer, figured he could use the distraction, & left in his care an acoustic guitar, a 12-string, a Gibson SG, & a Marshall stack. Thus began the evolution from "listener" to "player".

After relocating to the mountains of Nelson, nestled deep in the Kootenay region, he was re-named "Nelson From Nelson" & proceeded to make large ripples in the local & vibrant music scene. He attended the Selkirk College Music Program, he hosted a Jam Night for 3 years, he played in a few bands.

Filling his days selling instruments at the local music store, & filling his nights drinking, philandering, & playing shows with his band "Nelson from Nelson & The Menace" pleases him. He & his band are about to drop an e.p. of epic proportions in the fall of 2009....
