Jenn Grant Cross Canada Tour

Not only does Jenn Grant have a lovely voice but she has to be one of my favorite people in Canadian music. Jenn represents the spirit that has allowed Canadian music (and especially east coast music) to punch above it's weight class. Whatever success she's had she has been only too happy to share with friends and fellow artists - appearing on their albums, joining them on-stage, using her birthday party to raise funds for their films and generally pitching in whenever and wherever she can. Even if she ever decided to give up her musical career she could be Canada's greatest talk show host - with lots of awkward interviews and farm animals and not farm animals (you listening NBC??)

So, to sum up, go see Jenn Grant because her music is gorgeous and because she is awesome people and deserves the support!

Canadian Interviews talks to Jenn Grant

In case you haven't seen it there is a great interview up on Canadian Interviews with the lovely and amazing Jenn Grant:
CI: The Sydenham Street Church here in Kingston is an interesting venue. How much control do you have over the selection of venues these days? Do you try always to find these interesting spaces?

JG: I don’t really do that much. I just hope that they’re nice venues. Our booking agent does that. The venues are getting nicer, better than the alley where I used to drink when I was seventeen and played for my friends -- a little bit different than that alley [laughs].
