Introducing Snakes & Ladders - DIY Shows, Albums and Other Stuff

Daniel of Spiral Beach has announced a new project over at the bands Myspace. Snakes and Ladders promises to be a new DIY live show, album releasing, road trip planning thing that...well...I'll just show you what Daniel said:

I'd like to invite you to be a part of an exciting new project i'm working on;

Snakes + Ladders is a showbooking / party planning / road-trip-organising / DIY record label / webblog / promo team / art-zine collective devoted to bringing together musicians and artists from Toronto, Montreal and New York City for community-based shows and parties in all three cities.

We're kicking things off with this week's Japanther show in Toronto - we'll be documenting it for our new site so check it out! Over the next few months we're throwing a couple of parties celebrating new releases (and re-releases) from bands like Heartbeat Hotel, Donlands & Mortimer and La Casa Muerte - this will set the stage for some collaborative shows in the summer, fall and winter that will take us around the "golden triangle" of T.O / MTL / NYC.
